Performance Based Task Assessment - Paper Doll Project
For a final performance based assessment, students will create a paper doll that represents the culture and traditions of their culture. Students will then write a paragraph on the back of the paper doll to evaluate student's knowledge of the essential questions in the unit. Students will write down their family's history with immigration. If their family immigrated to the United States, they will write down the reasons why their family migrated. They will also write about cultural experiences by writing down specific ideas about their culture's heritage and traditions. This performance based assessment is a summative project that allows students to demonstrate their knowledge about immigration and cultural diversity, as well as express their creativity in the arts.
